In this course, students will gain an introduction to the scientific study of human behavior and mental processes. Topics may be drawn from historical and current perspectives in psychology.
Course Goals
The information and activities in this course are organized around three broad learning goals:
- To understand the scientific method and its role in psychology.
- To become familiar with the major content domains of psychology, such as biological psychology, social psychology, and personality psychology.
- To apply the information, you have learned better to understand the human experience, including your own.
In addition to these broad goals, we will have a set of specific learning objectives for each module.
